From Battle of the Books to Alaska Reads, from elementary schools to institutes of higher education, there are a variety of common reading initiatives, celebrating literacy across the state, on our campuses and in our communities. Program facilitators will serve as panelists, introduce their programs, share highlights, lessons learned, progress reports and answer questions from the audience. The panel will include representatives from these common reading initiatives: UAA/APU Books of the Year, Anchorage Reads, Alaska Reads, Alaska Center for the Book, Alaska State Library, Alaska Spirit of Reading, Battle of the Books and UAS One Campus, One Book.
